Chronicles:  What do you want people to know about your works?

Elaine: Within the past year or so I’ve been doing some blogging on dating and relationships. This gives me a chance to write between books and it keeps me in touch with readers.

Chronicles:  Reading through some of your blog entries, do you consider yourself to be an activist for women's rights?

Elaine: I absolutely do NOT see myself as an activist. I will stand up and speak for anything I feel passionate about but I don't formally take on roles to lead. That's not my calling, which a calling is what I think activism requires. Or, at least I haven't been called to do so yet.

Chronicles:  How can people find or purchase your works?

Elaine: My latest book, “Collected Moments” is one of my

favorite works so I like to share that one with those who are interested in the stories I tell. Here is the link to the book trailer, which I think gives a good description of what’s inside: view here>>

The best way to keep up with some of the things I’m working on is to join me on social media. I often post about things I’m working on as well as other writers and authors that I follow.

Chronicles:    That is a very impressive promo video. What other activities are you involved with?

Elaine: I have a couple of screenwriting projects that I am working on with writing partners. I love working with talented people. There is always something to learn from others in the business.

Chronicles:  Elaine, In your book "I Wouldn't Mind Having a Husband, I Just Don't Want to Be Somebody's Wife", you deal with some very poignant issues that face potential brides and grooms for that matter; how has that message been received by the readers that you meet during speaking engagements?

Elaine: My editor tried to talk me out of that title, saying it was too long and would be confusing - lol. That title comes from something I used to say after I was divorced so I wouldn't change it.

The book, which is written primarily for single never-been-married women, is absolutely better received by women who have been married (married, divorced and widowed). Those women get the title and the inference of that statement. However, single women fear that the book is going to tell them to not desire marriage, which is not the case. It's really just preparation for those who idealize marriage.
Chronicles:  It’s a New Year, have you made any resolutions and if so, how do they relate to your previous short term, mid term and long term goals.

Elaine: I have not made any 2015 resolutions. I am really not into that. I make daily resolutions to live and do better each and every day. But as the new year approaches, I am like anyone else and I am hoping for a year filled with enlightening experiences and success in the way that I deem successful.

Chronicles: As a close to this mini interview, explain to the readers what the Acronym “Divinely Inspired, Victoriously Ascending” means to you?

Elaine: This statement simply describes a human action that comes from God. I think every writer wants his or her work to be inspired in that way. This is how you know you will reach people with your work. I would say Victoriously Ascending is being called home to Heaven when this life is over.
